About
The Chenango County Suicide Prevention Coalition (CCSPC) was formed in 2014 and functions as an entirely volunteer organization. CCSPC members are working to mobilize the community to take an active role in suicide prevention. By working together with the community to provide suicide prevention training and the coordination of suicide prevention resources, our goal is to minimize the impact of suicide on the people and communities of Chenango County.
In the past 7 years, the coalition has focused on increasing education in the community regarding suicide, suicide prevention and available resources. The coalition has also worked to bring trainings to the area for professionals and community members focusing on suicide prevention and awareness. Coalition members meet regularly to discuss ways to continue our mission and address the needs in the community related to suicide prevention.
